The Lodge is within striking distance of some of the best fishing in New Zealand. The mighty Tongariro is a 45 minute drive away.
The Bay of Plenty also has plenty of opportunities for lake fishing. The fishing at the stream mouths in Lake Rotoroa can be very productive. And several “trophy” lakes are within very close proximity.
The North Island also enjoys relatively sandfly free
fishing!
